CIVIL MARRIAGE CELEBRANT

My name is Casey, I was married in October of 2021 I have 3 beautiful children and a husband that I love dearly.

I’m sure as you are scrolling through hundreds celebrant websites you sort of just want to know the vibes I’m giving, Instead of me continuing to ramble about my happy family, I will just answer your burning question. Will I ruin the colour scheme?.. I wont.. Give me a reason to go shopping and let me match the theme perfectly (Type A’s fear not, I will even send you options)

I know you care what I sound like and present like - and I do too! I can tell you I will bring the vibes with me and make it a memorable ceremony, but the proof is in the pudding, So please call me anytime - If you aren’t feeling it thats okay!

My priority is to promote smiles and help you win the day. If you aren’t happy, I’m not happy.

I want to see smiles from ear to ear, on your face and your guests faces. I love the tears, I love the raw uncut emotion when your eyes meet for the last time before you get married - I love seeing a couples character cut through in such a vulnerable moment - I just love weddings full stop.

My promise to you is to deliver on that and to keep you calm and steady on the day - I bring your vows, I handle your Legals, I get you married.

I wont take all the credit - the story of you is what makes a ceremony truly special - Marriage doesn’t have to be boring, and with your story, it could never be - But lets ruffle some feathers tell some jokes and do it in a way that feels authentic to your relationship.

If I’m ticking your boxes, and you want to talk more, or even just ready to tie the knot and set sail - lets do it!

THE PROCESS

Step One

You first need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM). You must lodge the NOIM with your chosen celebrant (Hopefully me) at least one month (and no more than 18 months) before your chosen wedding date - We can do this at the same time we meet greet & I hand you my service agreement, or we can do it later if you need some time to mull it over.

Step Two

After we have the service agreement in place, booking fee retained, and the NOIM sorted, we can get to working on on your ceremony as - Depending on which package you choose, this could mean a few different drafts being sent off (and of course if you have personal vows these will be sent to me privately to be added in)

Step Three

The week before the wedding I will send draft copies of the below documents to you for review, this is so I can make sure there are no administrative errors that could cause hiccups on the day.

the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage (DONLIM) We will sign either at your rehearsal, or the final individual meeting with you just before the wedding (As per the marriage act your celebrant must meet with each party individually prior to the wedding)

  • the Official Certificate of Marriage

  • the Form 15 Certificate of Marriage.

I will send these to Births Deaths and Marriages after the ceremony, and arrange to have marriage registered with Births deaths and marriages on your behalf.

Step Four

We get you married!

We meet at your ceremony, and have the best day ever, we sign your Official Marriage certificate (OCM) & Form 15, I pronounce you married, and you have what I can only hope if the best time of your life starting your new journey.

While you live out your honeymoon bliss, Ill get to working on having the marriage registered with Births deaths and Marriages.

WHAT THE FORMS ARE FOR?

THE NOTICE OF INTENDED TO MARRIAGE (NOIM) - This form needs to be lodged to your celebrant at least 1 calendar month before the wedding, no shotgun weddings or rash decisions.

THE DECLARATION OF NO LEGAL IMPEDIMENT (DONLIM) - This ‘essentially’ is you signing to agree that you are over 18, you are not related to your future spouse, and that you are not already married - Ideally we sign this as close to the wedding as possible.

THE OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE OF MARRIAGE (OCM) - This is the legal document we sign on the day during your ceremony, which allows me to formally pronounce you married. This form is submitted to Births Deaths and marriages, and serves as proof of the marriage for it to be registered.

FORM 15 MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE - This is the pretty marriage certificate that you take home and frame, If you would like this pre-filled by a calligrapher, I can make that happen.

I hope youll consider me for your special day - I’ll spot you a coffee so we can meet in person.
